Innovation Opportunities

“Innovation” is a word being used a lot more often around universities these days. There’s a good chance some type of research-driven innovation is in your future, but you may not have considered it yet. Anything you create that will lead to intellectual property (copyrights, patents, etc.) is an innovation, and research universities like UO rely heavily on these innovations to help fund further research. There are a significant number of resources at UO to help you at every step along the way.

The Innovation Network is a great way to find resources and events that will help you build your professional network here in Eugene. Check out our conversation with Andrew Nelson, Associate VP of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, for some advice for fostering innovation, and send him an email to get added to the Innovation Network listserv.

Innovation Partnership Services is the department tasked with helping you navigate the technical/legal world of innovation. Check out our conversation with Chuck Williams about examples of innovation at UO.
